being a couch potato? ...Or maybe looking for
alternatives to going to the gym, doing housework, or home
repairs? Well, have we got some options for YOU! Please
consider serving on one of the following chapter initiatives
- get extra recertification points and do some good for your
community!
- Chapter LEPC/NCTCOG
representative - serve as a member of local
country LEPC in your area on behalf of the chapter, or
on an NCTCOG committee related to hazardous materials
mgmt.
- Be on the chapter
exec committee as our web site coordinator. We need
someone with web site experience to coordinate updating
the web site with our webmaster Danny, and work on
expanding and populating more areas.
- Serve on the special
awards judging committee for the March 29, 2008 Dallas
Regional Science Fair
- Coordinate chapter
members to participate in your local community's HHW
collection events.
- Host a chapter
meeting. We are always looking for new venues to have
meetings, and we LOVE plant tours!
- Man the ACHMM booth
at a conference, local college or high school career
day, or symposium and recruit new CHMMs.
- Help the Dallas-Fort
Worth chapter sponsor the start up of the new CHMM
chapter in Austin. If you go to Austin regularly, this
is for you! Local contact in Austin is our former
chapter president and CHMM of the Year Ron Wilkins of
BAE Systems.
