Description: Go above and beyond the legal requirements for environmental compliance and strive for measurable goals to improve the quality of our city’s air, water, and land. Pollution Prevention (P2) can extend beyond the typical paper and cardboard recycling initiatives and can improve the bottom line at the same time. Build upon the existing groundwork set by the Environmental Management System (EMS) to identify long term sustainability goals with regard to stormwater, waste, and purchased products and services. W&M Environmental Group, Inc. (W&M) partners with industry to find solutions for pollution prevention including development and improvement of environmental management systems, hazardous waste reduction, stormwater, and more.
Speaker: Heather Woodward and Lori Siegelman CHMM have many years of experience in the area of pollution prevention having both worked in industrial facilities for many years – they know what it takes to implement P2 programs that go beyond the “low hanging fruit”.
Please RSVP to reserve your spot via email to dayna.cowley@dallascityhall.com. A class will be canceled if there are fewer than 5 RSVPs 24 hours prior to start time. Bring your own lunch!
